- What is the ex-dividend date?
- The ex-dividend date is the first day the stock trades without the upcoming dividend. To receive it, you must buy and hold no later than the trading day before; on the ex-date itself, the opening reference price is reduced by the dividend amount.
- Ex-dividend vs. ex-rights?
- Ex-dividend applies to cash dividends — the price is reduced by the payout. Ex-rights applies to stock dividends — the share count rises and the price adjusts down proportionally. Most Taiwan stocks pay cash; when both fall on the same day the price adjusts for both.
- What does filling mean?
- A stock fills when its price returns to the pre-ex-dividend level, meaning the payout was not eaten by the price drop. Days to fill counts trading days from the ex-date to that recovery; not filled means the price has not recovered yet.
- How is the yield calculated?
- Cash yield = cash dividend ÷ share price. The current yield on this page uses the TWSE daily published figure (latest full-year cash dividend over that day's close); the yearly column divides each year's total cash dividend by that year's average daily close.
