Once your account is connected, set the amounts and click start. Three steps and your strategies trade on their signals.

Before you start

  • A connected trading account. See Set Up Exchange Trading Keys.
  • The desktop app only trades while it's open. Close your laptop and it stops. To keep trading with your computer off, use a cloud machine.

Set amounts and start

1

Enter amounts. In the sidebar, click "Portfolio". On the "Allocation" tab, click "Pick Strategies", enter the amounts and click "Save".

2

Go to Auto Trading. Click "Start in Auto Trading" on the save bar.

3

Start. Click "Start trading", choose "Wait for new signals", then click "Start, wait for new signals".

To enter the positions your strategies should hold right now, choose "Catch up positions" in step 3 instead. You may get in partway through a move.

How to tell it worked

  • The status at the top of the page says "Auto-trading running".
  • "Difference" on the "Positions" tab is 0, which means your account matches the strategy targets.

Pausing

Click "Pause trading". The confirmation dialog gives you two choices:

  • "Pause trading": positions stay open and the strategy amounts are kept. Click "Start trading" later to continue.
  • "Pause and close positions": closes at market, then pauses.

Whether it closes orders you opened by hand, and whether stop losses keep running while paused, depends on the version of your machine. Read the lines in the confirmation dialog before you click. They are what counts.

Stuck?

You seeWhat to do
There's no "Wait for new signals" to chooseOn older machines the confirm dialog only has "Start and catch up positions". Clicking it places orders to match the target positions
You want to remove the account completelyClick "Disconnect" on the "Settings" tab. If the account holds positions, you'll be asked to choose "Close and disconnect" or "Keep and disconnect". Positions you keep must be handled on the exchange yourself
